About CaLP

CaLP is the global partnership for CVA in humanitarian aid. We are a catalyst for change, accelerating change in the scale and quality of cash transfer programming. We enable the collaboration necessary to develop practical solutions to collective problems in the sector.  CaLP has over 70 members, united by their commitment to our shared mission. They deliver the vast majority of cash transfer programming in humanitarian aid worldwide. Our members include UN agencies, donors, international NGOs, local NGOs and private sector organizations. 

About the Course

This course is structured around the project cycle and covers all of the key skills required to design, implement and monitor cash transfer programmes. The course is focused on a technical/programmatic perspective and incorporates examples and case studies from multiple sectors.

Course Aim: To support participants to be able integrate CVA into the design, implementation and monitoring of humanitarian programming.

Objectives

Understand how CVA is guided by key policies, standards and guidelines.
Describe how CVA needs to be integrated into role of different teams throughout the project cycle.
Explain what assessment information is needed to inform response analysis.
Use market information to inform modality choice.
Understand how CVA can contribute to response objectives.
Identify the information needed for monitoring and evaluation of CVA
Identify how collaboration and coordination support quality CVA.


Who is this course for?


This course is for programme staff responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring cash transfer programmes. This group might include Programme Managers; Programme Officers; Technical Specialists from any sector (e.g.food security, livelihoods, WASH, Health, Shelter),

 

Training Fees

The course participation is free. However, participants' will be  responsible for boarding and accommodation.

To apply for the course, click here before the 4th of August. This course organized specifically for CaLP BIEP programme participants but is opened to the whole CVA community  of practice. Selected participants will be contacted after the selection process is completed.
