Cyclone Idai Response

In March 2019 the worst tropical cyclones on the record of the southern Hemisphere hit three countries, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. According to various sources the devastating storms left more than 1,000 people dead, scores of people injured, hundreds unaccounted for, thousands displaced and massive property destruction.

In the wake of this devastation, CaLP is collating CVA related resources – old and new - from the three countries affected by the cyclone. The aim is to enhance information sharing and support planning as actors start to look to the use of CVA in the next stage of the response.

If you have any relevant resources not listed here, please upload to the CaLP library. You can follow the conversation about CVA in the Cyclone Idai response on our D-Group.
