Gender and Cash Based Programming Symposium

This regional learning event brought together people interested in gender, cash programming and the humanitarian sector more broadly to explore evidence and learning on cash programming and gender impacts. It sought to identify evidence gaps and generate recommendations for action. The event was organised by CaLP, Adeso, WRC, Oxfam and NRC.

CaLP East Africa Members Consultative Discussion

A round table consultative meeting was held on the 27th of February at the ACTED offices in Nairobi. The meeting was arranged to bring together some of CaLP's members in East Africa for a 'roundtable' discussion to consider regional CTP (Cash Transfer Programming) priorities. The aim was to start to shape an agenda on which we can work together and which will inform CaLP's plans in EA on the coming year/s.

Communicating about Cash Transfer Programming: Workshop for communications staff

On Tuesday 2 October 2018, CaLP convened communications staff from member agencies and beyond across the East Africa region, for a one day learning event in Nairobi.

In the first of its kind, this event aimed to bring together communications experts to understand how, collectively, we can work to overcome the challenges associated with communicating about cash transfer programming. By working together in this way, we can present a more evidence-based, authentic and engaging narrative around CTP and increase support amongst donors, governments and the general public.

A full report from the event can be downloaded here. For more information, please contact the East Africa team.
