New Video available: Cash a solution for Ebola recovery

Ebola was identified in Liberia and Sierra Leone in March and May 2014 respectively, during the crucial rice planting season. By early 2016, 28,616 people had been infected with Ebola, and over 11,310 had died. This crisis left not only death and devastation in its wake, but severe social and economic consequences.

A new video produced by the Cash Learning Partnership with the support of USAID documents the massive benefits that cash transfer programming brought to the communities in Sierra Leone and Liberia following the Ebola outbreak. Indeed, despite a challenging environment, FFP partners implemented CTP for more than 95,000 households in Liberia and Sierra Leone, strengthening people livelihood and markets.
