West Africa

In West and Central Africa, CaLP supports CVA actors through various activities:

On coordination, through support to Cash Working Groups and facilitation of the regional CWG.
On the collection of evidence and knowledge, by facilitating access to existing tools, through the production of new resources and the organization of learning events. On capacity building, through ad hoc technical support, face-to-face training, and the BIEP program.

In terms of training, CaLP has partnered with Bioforce, which provides annual training in Dakar (see their website for more information) and has integrated the introduction to CVA module into all its open training course. CaLP also has a database of certified trainers (available here) who can respond to requests from agencies at country level. In addition, the regional team is available to provide standard or specialized training according to the requests received (list of training courses available here). At the moment, the training provided by the regional team is free of charge, but the agency or organisations requesting the training must provide the training room and catering. Depending on available funding, the trainer's flight ticket and accommodation may also be provided by the organization requesting the training.
